The Kirchentag is now looking for 5,000 volunteeers for Dortmund. Kirchentags are unthinkable without the underpinning of "Helpers", who give assistance at the entrances, provide directions for visitors to the Kirchentag, give information, fold cardboard boxes, are sales personnel in the Kirchentag Shops, hand out scarves and take care that everything runs smoothly. Helpers are in action for up to eight hours each day.
Registering as a Helper is simple. Individuals and groups can register as helpers at kirchentag.de/helfen until 10th March 2019. Individual Helpers must be legally adult and will be deployed particularly in looking after international guests, in Kirchentag Shops or at Information stands. Groups more than five strong need an adult as group leader, apart from that, anyone over 16 can assist. All Helpers receive a Helper-pass, a scarf and T-Shirt, as well as a Helper-compass with all the important information about helping at Kirchentag, and eco-friendly full board throughout. In addition Helpers are as a rule put up in group accommodation and are given a travel pass for public transport in the area covered by the Rhine-Ruhr Transport Authority. !!!Competition!
